Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Study information
The degree programme is based on three central pillars:
The first pillar covers economics and provides sound business expertise. Topics such as the raison d'être of companies, external and internal accounting, marketing, market research and crisis communication are the focus here. The second pillar is dedicated to the megatrends of our time, including leadership in the digital age, big data, AI and robots, digital business models, sustainable business model innovations and circular economic models. Personality forms the third pillar, which covers self-reflection, awareness training, self-leadership, self-management and systemic behaviour in organisations.
Good to know:
No prior knowledge of business administration is required. Our degree programme is therefore ideal for students with a different professional background, e.g. engineers, doctors or humanities graduates. The part-time organisation with a sophisticated blended learning concept enables a smooth combination of studies and a full-time job.
Welcome to an educational experience that will not only expand your knowledge, but also strengthen your skills and redefine your future.
Welcome to our MBA - the enabler for a sustainable and environmentally beneficial digitalised world, where systemic thinking is the foundation for impactful change.
Empowerment through impact:
Our approach goes beyond traditional teaching methods. We place particular emphasis on ensuring that our graduates not only accumulate knowledge, but are able to translate this into concrete action. Through impact-orientated education, they acquire the skills and understanding to effect real change in their organisations and beyond. Impact capability is as much an art as it is a science.
Systemic thinking for complex problem solving:
In a world characterised by increasing interconnectedness and complexity, systemic thinking is essential. Our students learn to go beyond linear thinking and understand the interactions between different elements. We not only impart theoretical knowledge about systems, but also promote practical skills for systemic organisational development. This approach enables our graduates to not only understand the structure of their organisations, but also to view the natural world as a complex ecosystem. This is because we believe that a deeper understanding of natural systems enables the development of more sustainable and effective solutions to business challenges.
The connection between organisations and the natural world:
Organisations are not isolated entities, but part of a larger ecosystem - an earth that interacts with us and on which we depend, but which also depends on us for its quality and diversity. Our students learn to understand and appreciate this connection. Through systemic thinking, they recognise how decisions in organisations not only have internal effects, but also external consequences for the environment and future generations.
Responsibility for the environment and future generations:
We firmly believe that with greater knowledge comes greater responsibility. Our students are encouraged to look beyond short-term success and consider the long-term impact of their actions. The integration of responsibility for the environment and for future generations is therefore a central part of our curriculum.
The synthesis of economic efficiency and ecosystem integrity:
Successful business and the preservation of ecosystem integrity are not incompatible goals - on the contrary, they are inextricably linked. Our graduates are prepared to achieve this synthesis. Through systemic thinking and a holistic approach, they can develop effective business strategies that promote both economic success and environmental sustainability.
Personal development for sustainable success:
Transformation begins on the inside. In addition to professional expertise, we attach great importance to the development of our students' personalities. Because we are convinced that strong leaders must not only have specialist knowledge, but also a strong personality in order to successfully shape change.
Welcome to an educational experience that will not only broaden your knowledge, but also strengthen your skills and redefine your future. Welcome to our MBA - the enabler for a sustainable and environmentally empowering digitalised world, where systemic thinking is the foundation for impactful change.

Admission requirements
Good to know: No previous knowledge of business administration is required. Our degree program is therefore ideal for students with a different professional background, e.g. engineers, doctors or humanities graduates.
A total of 300 credit points are required for the Master's degree, including a doctorate. As the Master's degree program only comprises 90 credit points, applicants with fewer than 210 credit points from their first degree must make up the missing credit points before graduating with a Master's degree. In this case, admission is granted on the condition that the missing credit points are completed before graduation from the Master's program.
Missing credit points
Since the Master's degree programs at NORDAKADEMIE Hamburg School comprise a total of 90 credit points, if you have a Bachelor's degree with 180 credit points, you will have to make up 30 credit points by the time you graduate. You can do this before, during or after the standard period of study in the Master's program.
You can acquire missing credit points at the NORDAKADEMIE through
- up to two term papers with 10 credit points each
- successful completion of continuing education modules of 5 credit points each
- successful completion of a certificate course for 30 credits each
Term papers
You propose the topics for the assignments yourself and agree them with the examiner by submitting an exposé. Topics for which you already have prior knowledge, e.g. from professional practice or further education modules, are suitable. You can start with a term paper before the start of the actual Master's degree course.
Important: Admission to the Master's program and payment of the first tuition fee are required. Once payment has been received, you will receive your IT access data and can register the term paper via the internal campus information system. The fee for the term paper can be found in the fee schedule. It is due upon confirmation of the topic.
Further education modules
After admission to the Master's program or after payment of the first tuition fee, you can also take continuing education modules. You can complete these modules - as well as the assignments - before starting the actual Master's degree course.
